How to Buy Tickets Right Now

Tickets are sold through FIFA.com/tickets. As of May 1, 2026, the active window is the Last-Minute Sales Phase on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Main sales. Buy through FIFA's official ticket portal.
• Official resale. Use FIFA's Resale Marketplace.
• Supporter allocations. The Supporter Entry Tier sits with participating member associations, not the ordinary open sale flow.
• Mobile-only entry. Ticket access runs through the official FWC2026 Mobile Tickets app closer to the tournament.

FIFA's current restriction is four tickets per household for each match and 40 total across the whole tournament. It also limits buyers to one match per day.

What the Prices Look Like

The live official portal checked on May 1 showed a meaningful spread even within the same stadium:

• Brazil vs Morocco, June 13. Category 4 was listed at USD 105, Category 3 at USD 315, Category 2 at USD 575 and Category 1 at USD 790.
• Norway vs Senegal, June 22. Category 4 was listed at USD 60, Category 3 at USD 220, Category 2 at USD 465 and Category 1 at USD 620.
• The final. FIFA's publicly released 2025 framework put standard final tickets in the low four figures and above, while the separate Supporter Entry Tier was fixed at USD 60 through PMA allocation.

The simple read is this: not every New York New Jersey ticket is expensive in the same way. Brazil vs Morocco already carries premium group-stage pricing, while the lower-demand group fixtures are much closer to the tournament floor.

Getting There from Manhattan

The cleanest route is still NJ Transit to Secaucus Junction, then the Meadowlands shuttle rail.

• Penn Station to Secaucus. About 10 to 12 minutes.
• Secaucus to Meadowlands Sports Complex. Roughly another 10 minutes on matchday service.
• From station to gate. A short walk, but crowds stretch the real timeline.
• What to plan. Even if the pure rail time looks short, allow about two hours door to gate for major matches.

Driving is possible, but it is a trap for most visitors. The stadium is close to Manhattan on paper, yet traffic around the Meadowlands can turn a short distance into an ugly entry and exit window.

Where to Stay

The practical options split into three clusters:

• Midtown Manhattan. Best for direct Penn Station access and the widest hotel choice.
• Hoboken / Jersey City. Better balance between transport and nightlife.
• Secaucus / Carlstadt. Least romantic, most functional, and closest to the stadium.

If you are coming in specifically for the final, Midtown still has the cleanest overall logic. If you are doing several matches and care about price discipline, Hoboken or Jersey City are the smarter middle ground.

What We Actually Know About Fan Events

FIFA's New York New Jersey Fan Festival page is live, but as of May 1 it still says more information coming soon. So unlike Mexico City, this is not yet a fully locked public-site plan.

What is confirmed is FIFA's presence at Fanatics Fest NYC at the Javits Center from July 16 to 19 during final weekend. That matters if you are building a full final-week trip, but it is not the same thing as a fully detailed FIFA Fan Festival site announcement.

Weather and Stadium Reality

Late June and July in the New York metro mean heat, humidity and a live chance of thunderstorms. The stadium is open-air, so weather is part of the plan.

Dress light, assume slow concourses, and remember that a warm Manhattan afternoon can still turn into a sticky night in East Rutherford. For bag policy, stay on the conservative side and follow the clear-bag assumption.

Bottom Line

New York New Jersey Stadium is the most visible U.S. World Cup venue because it gets the final, but it is not only a final ticket story. The useful point right now is that the live price spread is already visible. Brazil vs Morocco is premium. Some other New York New Jersey group matches are much more reachable. The rail route from Manhattan is still the cleanest move, and the Fan Festival picture is not fully announced yet.
